About Us
Who We Are PDF Print E-mail
The Greater Nashville Church is made up of men, women and families from various races and cultures who live throughout the Greater Nashville Area. We are committed to seriously following Jesus and living out the call to be his disciples. Our worship services are characterized by joyful worship, warm fellowship, weekly communion with reflection on the death and resurrection of Jesus, and powerful preaching from God’s Word. In-depth biblical study and service to the poor are high priorities for us.

Convictions PDF Print E-mail
1. We believe in God the Father, in Jesus the Son, both Savior and Lord, and in the Holy Spirit, who in-dwells every Christian.

2. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and the standard for our life.

3. We believe that people are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus (Eph 2:8) when they believe, confess Jesus as Lord, repent of their sins, and are baptized for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38). We are convinced that this is God’s plan for salvation and that there is no other way to be saved.

4. We believe the scriptures teach that we are saved by grace and that grace should motivate us to live a life worthy of His calling and to help others to do the same (2 Cor. 5:14-20).

5. We believe that while every individual Christian is called to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Bible teaches that we are all added to the body of Christ, the Church, and called to be integral parts in the local congregation (I Cor 12:12-27)

6. We believe the church should always reflect God’s call to be a light to the world as a multi-cultural and multi-racial, loving, one-another focused, Christ centered family of believers committed to serving one another and the community, maturing its members and saving the lost.

7. We believe in the Great Commission of Jesus. We are seeking to help others become disciples, not only in the Nashville area, but around the world. (See Missions page)
