This has been a very encouraging week for the church in Lima. It began on Wednesday as we dedicated the day to God. The church all fasted together and then in the evening we devoted our midweek exclusively to prayer and to worship. It was a special time to draw close to God.

 Ward and Ellen Herbert have been serving the Knoxville Church for the last 5 years. Ward and Ellen were both converted in Nashville in 1995 and were married there in 1998. Ward has been in the ministry since 1996 and has served in Nashville, Memphis, Los Angeles, and Knoxville. They have two children - 8 year old daughter Payton and 7 year old son Ben.

Great News from Peru

Peru has been most recently in the kingdom news due to the earthquakes that shattered several cities about two and a half miles south of Lima, but from the rubble, God is working powerfully to advance his message and raise up disciples. During a February visit, Frank Williams, the evangelist and I, a teacher and missions coordinator in the Greater Nashville Church (Tennessee), were able to observe first hand God's workings in Peru.
