Greetings, Walk of Love Friends!

A few weeks ago, we shared some heartbreaking news with you: a devastating federal food funding cut that directly impacts our ability to provide summer lunches to children in Nashville’s largest inner-city community. These are kids who rely heavily on school meals—meals that will soon disappear when school lets out.

In response, we launched a two-stage fundraising campaign at the beginning of April—and thanks to your generosity, Stage 1 was fully funded in just two weeks! Your compassion has already made a huge impact.

Now, it’s time for Stage 2—and we’d love your help again.

Stage 2 Goal: $7,500

We’re raising funds for essential items to keep our summer lunch program running strong:

  • A deep freezer for storing bulk food
  • A refrigerator
  • More bulk meats and nutritious food
  • Clean drinking water (the neighborhood still relies on pipes installed in 1942!)
  • Fun summertime games for the children
  • Serving supplies like forks, spoons, plates, bags, and more

With your help, we know we can meet this goal and be fully equipped for a summer of love, laughter, and nourishment for the children Jesus calls “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40).
